What Is Rain Ready Alabama?
Rain Ready Alabama is a statewide initiative supported by ADEM’s Section 319 Nonpoint Source Grant program, run through Auburn University’s engineering research center. Its goal is to help protect Alabama’s streams and groundwater by reducing pollution before it starts. One of the biggest sources of this pollution can be neglected septic systems.
When a septic tank isn’t pumped regularly, it can overflow and leak harmful bacteria and nutrients into the soil and nearby waterways, putting both your property and local water quality at risk. Routine septic servicing prevents this, extending the life of your system and helping keep our creeks and rivers clean.
What This Means for You
As an approved Rain Ready Alabama septic service provider, Plainsman Pumping now offers eligible homeowners reimbursement for 75% of their pump-out cost, up to $500. We issue the reimbursements ourselves, so you won’t have to worry about waiting on paperwork or chasing down a rebate check. Customers will still need to cover the remaining 25% of their service cost, but this reimbursement program aims to make septic services affordable for everyone in the community.

How It Works
